Analysis:

Pierce moved into the starting lineup Saturday against Detroit, and he finished with three points, three assists and three boards in 30 minutes. With J.J. Redick and Chris Paul both unlikely to play again Thursday, coach Doc Rivers will apparently stick with the same starting five, meaning Austin Rivers and Jamal Crawford will likely comprise the starting backcourt. Once Paul and Redick return, it's unclear whether Pierce will remain a part of the starting group.
