Pels' Tyreke Evans doubtful for Friday vs. Clippers
The New Orleans Pelicans' three-game winning streak will either live on or come to a crashing halt Friday against the Los Angeles Clippers, but either way it'll happen without Tyreke Evans in the lineup.
The 26-year-old swingman is doubtful for the matchup at the Staples Center.
Evans was originally deemed to be a game-time decision for Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns, but was eventually ruled out after he began experiencing discomfort in his surgically repaired right knee.
Evans said Wednesday that if he didn't suit up against the Suns, odds were he'd either play against the Clippers on Friday or the Utah Jazz the following night.
The 2010 Rookie of the Year, who's yet to play this season following undergoing arthroscopic surgery, averaged 16.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 2014-15.
