Charlotte Hornets big man Al Jefferson left Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks with an apparent calf injury.
With just over five minutes remaining in the first quarter, Jefferson left the floor and limped to the locker room.
The team confirmed Jefferson wouldn't return to the game, and head coach Steve Clifford said after the game he will undergo an MRI on Monday.
Jefferson is averaging 13.7 points and 6.4 rebounds in 26 minutes for the surprising Hornets, some of the lowest numbers of his 12-year career.
