Luol Deng remains out for Heat vs. Celtics with hamstring injury
The Miami Heat were without starting small forward Luol Deng for the third consecutive game Monday as the veteran nurses a left hamstring strain.
Miami hosted the Boston Celtics.
The injury was originally listed as "slight" after he suffered it Nov. 21 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Deng played the next game, but hasn't suited up since.
Gerald Green has started in his place on the wing and has played well, scoring 16 and 25 points in two games on 39.3 percent 3-point shooting.
The 30-year-old Deng is averaging 10.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 32.7 percent from deep.
The Heat also announced they would be without Amar'e Stoudemire Monday due to illness. The big man has only played in two games this season.
Chris Bosh missed shootaround Monday, as the power forward was under the weather, but played against the Celts.
Miami has won four of five and sit atop the Southeast Division with a 10-5 record.
