Pacers' Ellis leaves game vs. Blazers with shoulder contusion

Indiana Pacers guard Monta Ellis left Thursday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a right shoulder contusion.
He did not return.
Ellis, 30, was uncharacteristically quiet from the field before heading to the locker room with the injury, attempting just one shot in 18 minutes. He ranks second on the Pacers in field goal attempts per game at 11.8.
Vogel said after the game that the injury came after Ellis took a knee to the back, and that his status is day-to-day.
Ellis is averaging his lowest scoring numbers (12.6 points on 42.8 percent shooting) since his rookie season through 17 games for the 12-5 Pacers.
