VIDEO: Jeff Green delivers game-winning dunk on familiar play
Memphis Grizzlies head coach Dave Joerger probably won't get credit for drawing up a flawless out-of-bounds play responsible for not one but two wins in the span of a year, but he should.
Sunday's clash between the Grizz and the Phoenix Suns became a justifiable classic due to the way in which it ended.
With roughly two seconds remaining in regulation, and both teams knotted at 93 apiece, Suns point guard Brandon Knight - who is prone to game-spoiling flubs - turned the ball over, giving Memphis one last opportunity to come away with a victory.
And so, Joerger and company obliged.
The brilliant side-out play had Jeff Green curling off a Mike Conley screen, freeing the 6-foot-9 sky-walker to throw down the game-winning jam.
The Suns were left with 0.5 seconds after this Green gem, but could not get a good shot off at the buzzer.
This wasn't the first time Joerger implemented this clever scheme - a very similar play was used last season to defeat the Sacramento Kings at the final horn, with Courtney Lee being the common denominator on both occasions.
