Kings' Cousins: "I've been playing like absolute s---"

Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins has never been afraid to express his feelings in the past, but his criticism is usually at the expense of others.

However, after losing three in a row, Cousins has taken responsibility for his team's poor play.

"I've been playing like s---, man," Cousins said to ESPN's Brian Windhorst. "That is our problem. It is me. I've been playing like absolute s---."

Although harsh, one can understand Cousins' frustrations with his performance of late. Over the last three contests, he has averaged only 14.3 points per game on 24.5 percent shooting.

Cousins doesn't expect his slump to persist, saying the problem is all in his head.

"I've never been in a stretch like this," Cousins remarked. "I have to stay positive, stay together and get in the gym. I know it's a mental thing right now. It's hard getting the rhythm when you're not seeing the ball go through the basket."

Sacramento plays its next game against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.
