Wizards' Nene, Humphries, Gooden out vs. Rockets

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards will be without a trio of big men heading into Wednesday night's game versus the Houston Rockets.

Nene, Kris Humphries, and Drew Gooden will all sit as the Wizards attempt to get back to .500.

Nene has been out since Nov. 27, after suffering a knee injury in a blowout loss to the Boston Celtics. The 6-foot-11 Brazilian is averaging 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, and shooting 55.6 percent from the floor.

Both Humphries and Gooden have struggled with shooting this season, hitting 37.1 and 24 per cent of their shots, respectively. Humphries played Monday night against the Miami Heat after missing the previous two contests, while Gooden has played in just six games this year.

The Rockets are coming off a 110-105 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, so Washington will try to take advantage of a Houston team entering the tail end of a back-to-back.
