Dirk Nowitzki passes Shaq on NBA's all-time scoring list

Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks has surpassed Shaquille O'Neal to move into sixth place on the NBA's all-time scoring list.
The 13-time All-Star - who is also Dallas' all-time leading scorer - entered Wednesday's road game against the Brooklyn Nets trailing "The Big Aristotle" by nine points. An 18-foot jumper during the opening minutes of the second quarter gave him 10 for the game.
Once-in-a-lifetime moment for a once-in-a-lifetime player.

"He's probably arguably the most dominant big man that's ever played this game," Nowitzki said about O'Neal on Monday, according to the Star-Telegram's Dwain Price. "So yeah, it's still kind of surreal that I'm up there among these all-time greats."
