Kings guard Rondo suspended 1 game for dispute with official
NEW YORK (AP) Sacramento Kings guard Rajon Rondo has been suspended one game without pay after a dispute with an official during a loss last week in Mexico City.
The NBA announced the penalty Friday. The Kings next play on Tuesday night at home against Houston.
The league said Rondo directed a derogatory and offensive term toward an official on Dec. 3 during a game against Boston and then didn't leave the court in a timely manner after being ejected.
Rondo was given two technical fouls and tossed midway through the third quarter.
