Klay Thompson returns from ankle sprain vs. Bucks
The Splash Brothers will be reunited in Milwaukee following a double-overtime scare at the hands of the Boston Celtics.
Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson will play in Saturday's game against the Bucks, after sitting out Friday with a sprained right ankle, reports ESPN's Ethan Sherwood Strauss.
The Warriors are undefeated through 24 games this season, but they've had to escape incredibly hard-fought overtime contests in Thompson's absence.
The Brooklyn Nets pushed Golden State to extras when he missed a game last month due to back problems, and his secondary scoring was sorely missed in Friday's thriller against the Celtics.
Thompson is averaging 18.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game in his fifth season with the Warriors. He's shooting a career-high 46.5 percent from the field and 44.2 percent from deep, and is fresh off a 39-point explosion against the Indiana Pacers.
His return to the lineup should help offset the burgeoning workload of Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala, who logged 49 and 44 minutes respectively on Friday.
