Cavs' Williams will not play vs. Thunder with thumb sprain

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Mo Williams is out for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Cleveland.com's Chris Haynes.
With the 32-year-old floor general nursing a right thumb sprain, Cavs head coach David Blatt will have to increase backup Matthew Dellavedova's minutes and call upon fourth-year shooting guard Jared Cunningham for support.
The Cavs' backcourt is already depleted with Kyrie Irving's return likely coming later this month and Iman Shumpert being sidelined with a groin strain, so losing Williams - even for the short term - will hurt the team's roster continuity.
Williams is averaging 13 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 4.1 assists through 20 games in 2015-16.
