Bulls' Gasol to miss game vs. Knicks following 4OT on Friday

Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago Bulls don't have the luxury of three full days of rest before their next game like the Detroit Pistons do following their classic quadruple-overtime encounter on Friday.

Fred Hoiberg's squad will be back in the swing of things on Saturday night, albeit without 7-foot Spaniard Pau Gasol in the lineup.

Gasol did not make the trip to New York City, and will not play against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, according to the Daily Herald's Mike McGraw.

The 35-year-old veteran logged 48 minutes of action against the Pistons, scoring 30 points, grabbing 15 rebounds, and blocking five shots in a 147-144 loss.

He's currently averaging a double-double of 15.7 points and 10.9 rebounds on 44.9 percent shooting in his second season with the franchise.
