Wizards' Nene, Gooden could be back within a week

The Washington Wizards could finally have a fully healthy frontcourt by month's end, as Nene and Drew Gooden could return to the lineup within a week.
Nene has missed the last 11 contests for Washington after sustaining a calf injury on November 27. The 6-foot-11 Brazilian is averaging 7.6 points per game on 55.6 percent from the field.
Gooden has played in just six games in 2015-16, averaging 2.7 points per game and 4.5 rebounds, while shooting just 24 percent.
Hampered by injuries, the Wizards have gotten off to a slow start after reaching the second round of the postseason last year. Washington currently sits just 12th in the Eastern Conference at 10-14.
