Analysis:
Although the use of his right hand signifies progress, Cauley-Stein did mention that his finger still feels like it's jammed. He was initially given a timetable of four-to-six weeks and has now been out for three-and-a-half weeks. It sounds as if Cauley-Stein will miss at least a couple more games, but he should be back at some point in January. If DeMarcus Cousins and Kosta Koufous are still healthy when he returns, the rookie will likely see fewer than 20 minutes per game, at least in the short term.
