Kobe before his Boston finale: Green has 'been my favorite color forever'
Kobe Bryant's rival has not tainted his love for the color green.
Ahead of his final trip to Boston to face the Celtics, the Los Angeles Lakers legend couldn't help but recall the 2008 NBA Finals battle his team lost, only to emerge victorious in 2010.
Despite his history with Boston, the Black Mamba also revealed that his favorite color is not the purple and gold he's rocked for the entirety of his career, but has always been green.
"It's actually my favorite color. I don't have green clothes. It's tough to pull that off. (Former Lakers guard) Jerry (West) won't even wear green drawers," explained Kobe on Monday night, according to ESPN's Baxter Holmes. "He and I have talked about this before. He's just allergic to green. It's been my favorite color forever. I'm fine with green."
Kobe also says that he is bringing his family along to experience the TD Garden.
"I'm bringing my family down, because my kids have never even been to Boston," Kobe said. "I'm looking forward to them getting a chance to see the city a little bit. And then just experience the green. It's just a different green. I want them to be able to see that."
