New York Knicks small forward Cleanthony Early was shot in the leg after leaving a Queens strip club early Wednesday morning, the New York City Police Department told WABC-TV.

Citing police sources, the New York Daily News reports that the 24-year-old was leaving CityScapes gentlemen's club in an Uber cab when he was boxed in by three other vehicles. He was then reportedly robbed of his jewelry - a gold necklace and gold teeth caps - by approximately four-to-six individuals wearing ski masks.

Early was shot once in the knee, police told WABC-TV, and was taken to Elmhurst Hospital. He is in stable condition.

The Knicks confirmed they are aware of the incident.

The Wichita State alumnus is in his second season in the NBA, averaging just over three minutes per game in 10 appearances.

Earlier this month, Knicks teammate Derrick Williams reportedly had $750,000 worth of jewelry stolen from his apartment.
