Nuggets' Faried intends to play vs. Trail Blazers

Kenneth Faried left Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors because of a neck injury he suffered toward the end of the overtime loss.
He was eventually removed from the court on a stretcher, although the power forward gave a thumbs up on his way out.
Despite being released from hospital earlier on Sunday, The Denver Post's Chris Dempsey reports that Faried will try to play Sunday night versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
The 12-22 Nuggets are currently 1 1/2 games behind the Blazers in the Western Conference standings, and would undoubtedly hope to have "The Manimal" in the lineup along with his 12.6 points, nine rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game.
