VIDEO: Butler sacrifices self, clears lane for Gasol's takeoff

Basketball is a game of sacrifice, and no one knows it better than Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler.

Although it may not show up in the box score, Butler should be awarded an assist for putting his body on the line in order to ensure an easy bucket for teammate Pau Gasol.

Butler's martyrdom helped the Bulls protect their lead over the Detroit Pistons en route to a 111-101 victory on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
