Doc Rivers: 'Blake's ours and he's going to stay ours'
Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers isn't interested in any trade discussions regarding superstar power forward Blake Griffin.
In response to swirling trade rumors, Rivers - who also has final say over roster decisions - scoffed at the notion of moving Griffin before Friday's battle with the Orlando Magic.
Despite Rivers' comments, the Clippers have reportedly received multiple offers for Griffin, including a potential package from the Denver Nuggets, according to Ben Bolch of the Los Angeles Times.
However, Bolch adds the Clippers have no active interest in dealing Griffin, who's still at least a month away from returning to action after fracturing his hand in a fight with an assistant equipment manager.
Griffin, 26, is in the third year of a five-year maximum contract. He's owed $18.9 million this season, $20.1 million for 2016-17, and holds an early termination option for 2017-18.
Over 30 games, Griffin is averaging 23.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and five assists per game while shooting 50.8 percent from the field.
