VIDEO: Hayward beats buzzer to lift Jazz past Mavericks in OT
The quietest winning streak in the NBA was extended Tuesday night.
Although the Utah Jazz - winners of their last six games - emerged as the victor in their back-and-forth affair with the Dallas Mavericks, it was no easy feat.
A last-second 3-pointer by Rodney Hood pushed the nail-biter into overtime, setting the stage for his teammate, Gordon Hayward, to play the role of the hero in the extra frame.
The Jazz's bench erupted as the horn sounded, validating the team's gutsy performance and ensuring its string of triumphs reached seven games.
Hayward is no stranger to late-game pressure. The Jazz's last overtime win came on Feb. 1, when the Butler product led his squad past the Chicago Bulls.
And, lest we forget this clutch classic from last season:
When in doubt, give the rock to No. 20.
