The penultimate matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies last Wednesday will wind up being the last time Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter ever share the court together.
On the second night of their home-and-home series with Memphis on Friday, Bryant will not be in the lineup for the Lakers as he deals with a sore right shoulder.
Bryant, who's set to retire at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, scored 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting in 28 minutes of action at the FedExForum on Wednesday as Los Angeles fell 128-119 to the Grizzlies.
This will be the 10th game of the season "The Black Mamba" misses due to injury. He's averaging 17.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists on 35 percent shooting from the field in his 20th and final season with the franchise.
