Ex-NBA player Delonte West reportedly seen wandering barefoot in Houston
Delonte West was reportedly spotted in Houston last week looking like a shell of his former self.
The shoeless former NBA first-round pick was approached by a fan outside of a Jack in the Box restaurant in Houston around 10 p.m. CT, according to TMZ Sports.
The fan asked him if he was Delonte West, to which the former baller replied: "I used to be, but I'm not about that life anymore."
West was selected by the Boston Celtics as the 24th pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, and bounced around during his career, spending time with the Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers (with LeBron James), and Dallas Mavericks, before exiting the league in 2012. He's since played in both the D-League and China, and was waived by the D-League's Texas Legends in 2015.
The 32-year-old was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2008.
