Whiteside motivated by Draymond Green's Twitter insults
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside hasn't forgotten about a series of comments Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green made during a Twitter spat between the two last summer.
Whiteside and Green went back and forth, debating the significance of big men in today's small-ball era. However, Green might have taken the argument too far, poking fun at Whiteside for his D-League roots.
The 7-foot Whiteside didn't take kindly to the remarks, stating Tuesday that he'll use them as motivation in Wednesday night's matchup against the Warriors.
"He basically said he makes more money than me and I'm from the D-League. It's a little motivation," he said to the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro.
Whiteside didn't play when Miami played Golden State back in January, so this will be the first time the two face off since last summer's social media war.
"I hope they don't play Bogut as much. I'd like to face more of the small guys," he added.
