The two groups for men's basketball at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero are set.
A draw was held Friday in the House of Basketball in Miles, Switzerland to distribute the nine qualified nations and the three wild cards to come, into Groups A and B.
Team USA, two-time defending Olympic champions and winner of the 2013 World Cup of Basketball, managed to avoid heavyweights Spain and Argentina.

The Olympics' first round will feature a group phase where teams square off against every opponent in the group. The top four teams in each group advance to a single-elimination knockout tournament to decide the winner.
Given Team USA's "high-class problem," they should have no problem clearing the group stages. However, the two wild cards in their group could prove problematic.
Among the 18 teams vying for those three spots are France, Italy, Serbia, Greece, and Canada, who will all field squads with NBA-caliber talent.
The qualifying tournament will be held on July 4-10. Men's basketball at the Olympics will commence Aug. 6. A full schedule can be found here.
