Report: Nate Robinson agrees to deal with Israeli team

Nate Robinson's recent desire to play in the NFL has apparently taken a back seat, as the 11-year NBA veteran will sign a contract with Israeli basketball team Hapoel Tel Aviv, a source told Basketball Insiders' David Pick.
Robinson played the first two games of the New Orleans Pelicans' season this year, but was waived Oct. 29. The NBA's only three-time All-Star Slam Dunk champion played 42 contests with the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets last season.
The 5-foot-9 Robinson, who turns 32 in May, expressed a serious desire to try out for an NFL team last week. He played cornerback as a freshman at Washington, starting six games in 2002 before devoting his full-time attention to basketball.
