Report: Melo may waive no-trade if Knicks whiff in free agency
While Carmelo Anthony has been adamant about his willingness to stay in the Big Apple, apparently his stance could change if the New York Knicks undergo another disappointing offseason.
Some within the Knicks organization believe Melo may be willing to waive his no-trade clause if New York fails to add talent this summer, reports ESPN's Ian Begley, citing league sources. However, Begley believes Anthony will likely stay in New York.

Since signing a five-year, $124-million deal in 2014, Anthony has seen his Knicks go from playoff team to Eastern Conference cellar dweller. Making matters worse, New York is without a first-rounder in this year's draft, so it's paramount for the club to add talent via free agency.
Carmelo found himself involved in trade rumors prior to this year's deadline, with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics reportedly interested in acquiring the nine-time All-Star.
