California's Marcus Lee: To transfer to California
Lee has committed to California on Tuesday, Jerry Tipton of the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.
Analysis:
Lee recently decided to transfer from Kentucky after exiting the 2016 NBA Draft upon receiving unfavorable, but valuable information about his draft stock. Kentucky is again reloading its talent with a top recruiting class, signaling a significant decrease in playing time for Lee, thus the transfer. Lee averaged 6.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 22 minutes per contest during the 2015-16 season. With the departure of Jaylen Brown, Lee figures to gain lots of playing time in Cal's future frontcourt.
