One of the nation's top recruits, Josh Jackson arrived at Kansas this week.
On Wednesday, Jackson flashed some skills at head coach Bill Self's basketball camp and then introduced himself to Jayhawk Nation.
"I picked KU because I felt like it would better me the most, on and off the court - as a man and as a player. I felt like I could really trust the coaching staff," Jackson told KUathletics.com.
"I loved all the guys on the team. I felt like they were playing for all the right reasons and I got a real family feeling around here, I feel like everyone is a family. When I was here, I just knew this was the place for me."
Arriving as a top recruit at one of the most storied programs in college basketball can be a lot of pressure but the incoming freshman has been given some sound advice.
"All these expectations for me, they just tell me not to let it go to my head, just play my game and just let it all come naturally," he said.
The 6-foot-7 small forward was drawn to the winning culture that the program and players put an emphasis on.
"A lot of guys who have talent mainly worry about scoring and looking good but me and the rest of the guys on this team I can see it's all about winning," he said.
