The non-conference series will be the first time the Bulldogs and the Aztecs have squared off since Nov. 16, 2010. The Aztecs, led by reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year Kawhi Leonard at the time, were the victors in that matchup, defeating then-No. 11 Gonzaga 79-76.
Gonzaga finished last season with a 28-8 overall record before being eliminated in the NCAA Sweet 16, while San Diego State finished with a 28-10 record and a loss in the NIT semifinals.
