Texas Tech joins others in endorsing Houston for Big 12 expansion bid

Incoming Texas Tech president Lawrence Shovanec joined Texas president Greg Fanves and other prominent figures in the state Friday by endorsing Houston's chances for addition to the Big 12.

The addition of Houston to the Big 12 would give the conference its fifth team from the state of Texas, joining Texas, Baylor, TCU, and Texas Tech.
