Connecticut's Jalen Adams: Doubtful for Wednesday
Adams (concussion) is not expected to play Wednesday against Houston, ESPN's Jeff Borzello reports.
Analysis:
It appears that the Huskies will be without their starting point guard as they open conference play against the Cougars. Adams is reportedly still dealing with concussion-like symptoms and Borzello notes that barring a drastic change in his status during the day Wednesday, he'll likely sit out. His production will be difficult to replace as he's averaging 16.6 points on 48.7 percent shooting to go with 4.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists over a whopping 35.5 minutes. UConn could start a combination of Christian Vital and Rodney Purvis in the backcourt Wednesday.
