Xavier starting point guard Edmond Sumner left the Musketeers' game late in the second half against St. John's after going up for a layup and coming down with his knee bending in a way it's not supposed to.
After the game, head coach Chris Mack did not have an update on Sumner, though he said the guard would undergo an MRI on Monday, according to Eugene Rapay of Rush the Court.
Sumner is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.9 points and leads the team in assists (4.9) and third in rebounds (4.4) for No. 24 Xavier.
