Creighton point guard Maurice Watson Jr. is under investigation for sexual assault, a source told Jon Nyatawa of the World-Herald.
Watson was suspended by the Bluejays on Wednesday for what was described as "alleged actions that are contrary to university policies and core values." The alleged incident took place earlier this month and Watson has yet to be charged or arrested, according to the source.
The senior's college career came to an end when he suffered a torn ACL back in January, so Watson is currently banned from team-related activities.
Before going down Watson was in the midst of a stellar campaign, averaging an impressive 8.5 assists per game.
