Welcome to Dunk State.
Florida Gulf Coast and Florida State hit the ground running throughout a frenetic first half Thursday.
Florida State's Michael Ojo opened the scoring with a thunderous dunk, but the Eagles responded immediately on the next possession. With Ojo lurking, Florida Gulf Coast's Demetris Morant hopped in the paint and slammed over the Seminoles center.
However, Ojo made amends with a terrific block on Marc-Eddy Norelia.
Ojo continued his theatrics later in the first half, easily rising for an uncontested alley-oop and belying his 7-foot-1, 305-pound frame.

Florida Gulf Coast, affectionately nicknamed "Dunk City" after its 2013 tournament run, continued to live up to the unofficial moniker when Zach Johnson rose up for a thunderous jam.

Florida State guard Dwayne Bacon saved the best dunk of the half - and arguably of the day - for the final two minutes of the action-packed stanza, floating through the air for a gorgeous one-handed slam that rendered the Eagles' defense useless.
