Making its first tournament appearance ever, Northwestern was taken down in the second round by Gonzaga, which will be playing South Carolina in the Final Four on Saturday.
With 4:57 left and Northwestern trailing 63-58, Gonzaga forward Zach Collins blocked Derek Pardon's shot on what should have been a goaltending call, thus awarding the Wildcats two points and making the score 63-60.
However, no call was made, leading to head coach Chris Collins being given a technical foul over the missed call as he stepped onto the court and yelled at the officials.
Gonzaga would hold on to win 79-73.
Seemingly not ready to let go, on Wednesday, a photo of the exact play would be seen hanging in The Arch, the trademark spot of the school, showing off the missed call.
