UConn loses another as Juwan Durham elects to leave program
The last few weeks have not been kind to UConn's roster, and things didn't get any better Monday.
Freshman forward Juwan Durham announced via Twitter that he has decided to leave the Huskies after just one season, joining the departing likes of Vance Jackson and Steven Enoch, along with four-star guard Makai Ashton-Langford, who's asked to be released from his letter of intent.
"After talking to my family, teammates, and friends I have decided to not return next year," Durham said. "I'd like to thank the coaching staff and all of the fans for the support."
Durham was not a main contributor for the Huskies this season, averaging just 1.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.3 minutes, but he was the No. 52 overall recruit in the ESPN 100 for 2016.
Thankfully for Huskies head coach Kevin Ollie, leading scorer Jalen Adams elected on April 1 to return for his junior season without testing the NBA draft waters. Still, Ollie will have his work cut out for him on the recruiting front prior to next season.
