Arizona's Kobi Simmons declares for NBA draft, reportedly hires agent

Kobi Simmons' time in the desert is done.
The Arizona guard will enter the 2017 NBA Draft, the team announced Wednesday. Evan Daniels of Scout is reporting that Simmons will hire an agent, which would preclude him from returning to college.
It's an interesting decision to hire an agent, as Simmons is likely to only be a late second-round pick unless he wows scouts at the combine.
That being said, Simmons isn't short on talent. The former five-star recruit was the No. 1 ranked player coming out of Georgia for the 2016 class, according to ESPN.
Simmons averaged 8.7 points per game as a freshman for the Wildcats.
