Nahziah Carter, the 6-foot-6 nephew of rap artist Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter), committed to play basketball at Washington on Friday night.
A three-star recruit on ESPN, Carter will join new Huskies coach Mike Hopkins, who tried to recruit the Rochester, N.Y., native to Syracuse when he was an assistant on Jim Boeheim's staff.
Though he didn't attract a massive amount of fanfare as a prospect in high school, Carter did take visits to Georgetown and Boston College, and was previously committed to Dayton.
Unfortunately, Carter didn't garner interest from Michigan State, where Jay-Z's famous line "H to the Izz-O" could've really been a hit with Tom Izzo roaming the sidelines.
