Report: FBI investigated Bob Knight over accusations he groped women at spy agency
Former Indiana and Texas Tech men's basketball coach Bob Knight was investigated by the FBI for alleged sexual misconduct during an appearance at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in July of 2015, the Washington Post reports.
Knight was at the NGA - an arm of the Department of Defense that gathers intelligence from imagery of the Earth's surface - to give a speech.
According to documents from investigators which were obtained by the Post, four women accused Knight of groping or touching them inappropriately. From the documents, and the publication's own interviews with three of the women, the Post reported that Knight engaged in "a range of boorish behavior: from touching them on the shoulder while commenting on the attractiveness of their legs, to hugging them too tightly around the chest, to hitting them on the buttocks."
An eyewitness gave a sworn statement corroborating one of the women's claims, saying he was "standing directly behind the woman when he saw Knight grab her on the buttocks multiple times."
According to the Post, FBI agents flew to Montana to interview Knight in July 2016, who subsequently denied any wrongdoing, and the investigation was closed shortly thereafter.
