After withdrawing from Syracuse earlier in the week, forward Taurean Thompson has enrolled at Seton Hall, according to Gannett New Jersey's Jerry Carino.
Orange coach Jim Boeheim said Monday that Thompson wanted to go to school closer to home due to family health issues. Seton Hall's campus is only about an hour from Thompson's relatives in New York.
The 6-foot-9 forward would not be able to play this season due to transfer regulations. In his freshman year at Syracuse last season, Thompson averaged a solid 9.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 18 minutes per game.
