LaVar expects to run into Trump: 'We'll be good'
LaVar Ball expects to meet President Donald Trump, and thinks it'll be just peachy.
"We're gonna run into each other. We'll be good," Ball said of Trump on Wednesday upon landing in Los Angeles, according to TMZ Sports.
Ball's middle son LiAngelo and two other UCLA players were arrested for shoplifting in China, and Trump reached out to Chinese President Xi Jinping to resolve the case, so the detained basketball players could return home.
LiAngelo, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley made it back stateside Wednesday and thanked Trump for his assistance.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban predicted LaVar will express his gratitude to Trump by sending him sneakers from the family's brand.
"I can't wait to see President Trump walking around the Oval Office in a Trump-branded suit and the Big Baller Brand sneakers I'm sure LaVar will send him for Christmas!" Cuban said in an email to Business Insider's Allan Smith.
The Bruins announced they've suspended the trio indefinitely.
