Purdue center Isaac Haas - who was reportedly set to miss the rest of the tournament after fracturing his elbow in Friday's first-round win against Cal State Fullerton - will attempt to play with a brace if he can get it cleared by the NCAA, according to CBS Sports' Allie LaForce.
Despite an X-ray revealing that the 7-foot-2 senior will require surgery, Haas practiced Saturday with the brace. No official decision has been made by the team, but Haas wants to feature against Butler on Sunday, LaForce reports.
Haas totaled nine points and 10 boards in 15 minutes Friday. He finished the season with averages of 14.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in 35 games for the Boilermakers.
