R.J. Barrett named Naismith High School Player of the Year

Duke commit R.J. Barrett has been named the 2018 Naismith High School Boys' Player of the Year.
The award is given out by the Atlanta Tipoff Club.
Barrett, a 6-foot-7 forward for Florida's Montverde Academy, is the second Canadian to capture the honor in the last six years - Andrew Wiggins won it in 2013. Barrett is the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Christyn Williams of Central Arkansas Christian School took home Girls' Player of the Year honors.
