Southwest live-tweeted Xavier game for passenger who couldn't stream it
A Southwest Airlines employee came to the rescue after a passenger ran into some issues while trying to watch Sunday's NCAA tournament game between Xavier and Florida State on her flight.
Xavier fan Renee Stoeckle purchased in-flight wifi, but the connection wasn't strong enough to stream the game. She then took to Twitter to complain, making sure to tag Southwest Airlines in her tweet.
Paid $8 for wifi on @SouthwestAir and it isn't strong enough to stream March Madness 😫😫 Hold down the fort for me, @XavierMBB ...

A customer service representative named Mike replied soon after to apologize and updated Stoeckle on the score. Stoeckle then asked if Mike could live-tweet the second half of the game, and surprisingly, he said yes.
Thanks, Mike. Any chance you can live tweet the second half for me?

"My brackets have had Xavier winning it all every year since high school, so my bracket is busted again," Stoeckle told Randall Colburn of the A.V. Club afterward. "But this will definitely rank among my most memorable Xavier defeats. Plus it was far better than a free-drink coupon."
@XavierMBB may have lost tonight, but I still get to crown the #MVP. Shoutout to Mike at @SouthwestAir, the true winner of #MarchMadness
