Colorado State hired Niko Medved as its head basketball coach, the team announced.
Medved led Drake to a 17-17 record last season after four years at Furman, amassing a 62-70 record with the Paladins between 2013-2017.
It's a homecoming of sorts for Medved, who was a highly regarded assistant under former Rams coach Tim Miles from 2012-2013.
Larry Eustachy, Colorado State's head coach since 2012, reached a resignation settlement with the university in February. Eustachy had three years remaining on his contract when he was placed on paid administrative leave in the midst of the school's second investigation into his conduct as coach.
