LeBron James Jr. and his AAU team, the North Coast Blue Chips, paid a visit to Duke over the weekend.
James Jr.'s team received a tour of Cameron Indoor Stadium and the K Center, the Blue Devils' practice facility, from former Duke guard and current director of basketball operations Nolan Smith, according to 247 Sports' Adam Rowe. The team also met Duke freshman Zion Williamson.
There were rumors 13-year-old James Jr. received an offer in waiting from Duke. But as Rowe notes, the school doesn't offer scholarships to recruits that young.
James Jr. is on track to be a college freshman in 2023, although with the NBA reportedly telling teams the one-and-done rule could be gone by 2021 or 2022, it's possible he'll skip college altogether.
