Infographic: Most common mascots among Division I schools

Bulldogs are the most represented mascots among Division I schools in the United States, according to a study conducted by Grand Canyon University.
Bulldogs came in at No. 1 on the list, represented by 14 schools, followed by tigers at No. 2, and eagles and wildcats tied at No. 3.
Among the study's other findings:
- Animals are the most common mascot on a state-by-state basis.
- Teams with tigers as their mascots have won the most college football conference titles.
- Bruins and cardinals are tied for the most winning mascots all-time in D-I sports with 117 titles a piece.
