5-star recruit Wendell Moore commits to Duke
Five-star forward recruit Wendell Moore announced Monday that he has committed to Duke for 2019.
"They are a great program with a Hall of Fame coach," Moore told ESPN's Jeff Borzello. "I just feel like that is the best place for me to mature and get to where I want to be. Also, the family aspect of it. If I am fortunate enough to make it to the NBA, this is always a place I can call home."
The 6-foot-6 prospect chose to join the Blue Devils over NC State, Wake Forest, and North Carolina.
He averaged 17.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists on 53.1 percent shooting during the Nike EYBL circuit over the summer.
Moore is ranked No. 18 on ESPN's top-100 recruits and No. 3 among small forwards in the 2019 class.
