Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy reportedly will not return to the program next season, a source told the Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman.
Kennedy has been with the Aggies since 2011 but has led the program to just two NCAA Tournament appearances in eight years.
Prior to Kennedy's hiring, A&M reached the tournament in six consecutive seasons - four times under Mark Turgeon and twice with Billy Gillispie.
The Aggies (13-17) will likely finish with their worst record since 2004 and are currently ranked 11th in the SEC.
Kennedy's deal pays him nearly $2.5 million per year until 2021.
Texas A&M will begin its final push toward an unlikely tournament bid when it kicks off the SEC Tournament on Wednesday against Vanderbilt.
